Elizabeth Shaughnessy

Elizabeth (Liz) Shaughnessy is an executive director in Tapestry Networks’ healthcare practice and works to bring together diverse stakeholders to address urgent, big-picture challenges in the healthcare and life sciences sectors. She focuses on topics relating to precision medicine, value-based healthcare and payment innovation, adaptation to novel technologies, and health system sustainability and transformation by designing high-impact collaborative leadership platforms, analytical insights, and thought leadership content.

Prior to Tapestry, Liz worked at the intersection of international trade, global development, and healthcare, first as a program manager at the Corporate Council on Africa and as a senior manager at advisory firm Development Finance International, Inc. She specialized in working with life sciences and diagnostics companies on market entry strategy, business development, and communications in frontier markets, facilitating innovative partnerships and dialogue with key healthcare stakeholders in sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and elsewhere around the globe.

Liz received her MA in global, international, and comparative history from Georgetown University. She received her BA from College of the Holy Cross in English and history. She lives in Eastham, MA, with her husband and two young children.
