Executive Experience: After a 41-year career with Deloitte & Touche (D&T), Steve retired in 213. He held many positions within D&T, including client service to some of the firm’s most prominent clients along with senior firm leadership roles.

As deputy national managing partner of operations for D&T, Steve served as the chief operating officer for the audit and enterprise risk services functions of the firm. Prior to that leadership role Steve served various local and regional leadership roles for D&T. Along with numerous other clients, during his career Steve served as the lead service partner for the prominent clients like Globe Life Inc., Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Baker Hughes Incorporated, and Neiman Markus. Steve took a two-year leave from the D&T in 1982–1984 to serve a fellowship at the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the standard-setting body for the accounting profession. He also served a one-year assignment in the firm’s New York National Office until 1985, serving as director of client service programs.

Additional information: Steve graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire with a BBA in accounting (summa cum laude) in 1972. While based in the Dallas, Texas area, Steve has been active in many organizations, including the Chairman of the Board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas, the Rotary Club of Downtown Dallas, the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire Alumni Board of Directors, and numerous leadership roles in his church.

Steve and his wife, Christi, reside in Plano, Texas and have three children and eight grandchildren.
