Executive Experience: As the chief financial officer of Washington Real Estate Investment Trust, Sara was responsible for the company’s overall financial and capital markets strategy and served as the company’s primary spokesperson to the media and Wall Street from 2001 – 2009.

Additional information: Sara serves on the board of trustees of the Brookings Institution and serves on the budget and finance committee. She serves on the leadership board of the United States Chamber of Commerce Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness. Sara is a former member of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Standing Advisory Group, where she advises the PCAOB on the development of auditing and related professional practice standards.

Sara holds the chartered financial analyst designation and is a certified public accountant, registered in the State of Illinois. She earned a BS in finance from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
