Executive Experience: Sabrina Simmons was EVP and CFO of Gap, Inc. from 27 to 217. She joined Gap Inc. in 21 and progressed through positions of increasing responsibility from vice president and treasurer to executive vice president. Appointed CFO in January 28, after serving as acting CFO since August 27.

As executive vice president and chief financial officer of Gap Inc. she oversaw all global financial functions, including corporate financial planning and analysis, treasury, risk management, tax, investor relations, controllership, the corporate shared service centers, and internal audit. Additionally, non-finance functions including global real estate, loss prevention, and corporate facilities reported in.

In addition to the corporate functions, had accountability for brand finance as the brand CFO’s for each of the company’s global operating divisions, i.e., Old Navy, Banana Republic, Gap Brand, Athleta, and Intermix reported directly in (as well as to their divisional president).

Sabrina was recognized as top CFO in specialty retailing by Institutional Investor Magazine three times during Gap Inc. tenure

Before joining Gap Inc, she was chief financial officer and an executive member of the board of directors of Sygen International PLC, a British genetics company. Prior to Sygen, she spent five years at Levi Strauss & Co. as assistant treasurer and several years at Hewlett Packard Company and KPMG.

Additional information: Sabrina is a CPA (inactive) in California. She has a BS in finance from the University of California, Berkeley (bestowed the award of Regent Scholar) Haas undergraduate school of business and an MBA from the Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles.
