Executive Experience: Rick Navarre currently provides advisory services to the energy industry and investment firms. Rick served as the president and chief commercial officer of Peabody Energy Corporation from February 28 until he retired in June 212. He previously served as Peabody Energy’s executive vice president of corporate development and chief financial officer from July 26 to January 28 and as chief financial officer from October 1999 to June 28. Rick is currently an independent director, member of the audit committee and chair of the conflicts committee for Natural Resource Partners LP, a diversified natural resource company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, independent director and member of the audit and nominating & governance committees for Arch Coal and chair of the board of directors of Civeo Corporation, and he was previously dhair of the board of directors of United Coal Company, LLC.

Additional information: Rick is a member of the Hall of Fame of the College of Business at Southern Illinois University Carbondale and a member of the board of advisors of the College of Business & Administration and the School of Accountancy of Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He is a certified public accountant and received his BS in accounting from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
