Richard has served as a director of SmileDirectClub, Inc., since 2019, Extended Stay America, Inc., since 2013, Charles River Laboratories International, Inc., a provider of laboratory services for the pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology industries, since 2011. In the last five years, he served as a director of Boart Longyear Ltd., a global mineral exploration company, Convergys Corporation, a provider of customer management and information management products, and ESH Hospitality, Inc., a lodging real estate investment trust, and Wright Medical Group N.V., a global medical device company.
