Phillip Mazzie

Phillip is the managing partner of EY’s San Francisco office, an office of ~1,8 professionals; In this role, he maintains high-performing client serving teams, develops EY’s people, while fostering a strong culture of exceptional client service and creating social impact in our local communities.

He has more than two decades of experience servicing global clients as a trusted advisor, with a focus on their capital and growth agenda, as well as helping them buy and integrate, sell and separate, reshape their companies and make informed corporate finance decisions, including IPOs and capital markets.

During his tenure at EY, he has worked on more than 25 transactions for market-leading companies, ranging in size from $1 million to over $5 billion.

Phillip is also passionate about purpose-led, authentic, values-driven leadership and the importance of diversity and inclusion. He serves on the executive committee of the board of directors of the Bay Area Council. He is committed to closing the gender gap, youth mentorship, developing our future leaders and supporting entrepreneurs through programs like Entrepreneur Of The Year and the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship.

Prior to joining EY, Phillip was director of corporate development at Macromedia (since acquired by Adobe) where he led the $365 million acquisition of Allaire, the largest in the company’s history, in addition to many smaller acquisitions and venture investments. During his tenure at Macromedia, he also served as divisional CFO over the company’s largest business unit.

Phillip has worked on extended projects in Melbourne, Australia, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. His cross border project experience spans North and South America, Europe (both Western and Eastern as well as the UK and Scandinavia), Asia, Japan, and the Middle East. Phillip speaks Spanish proficiently.

Phillip is a CPA and holds an MBA from Michigan State University.
