Executive Experience: Pete was executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. from August 215 until his retirement in March 217, with responsibility for the company’s global business services, human resources, and legal functions. He joined the company in October 2 as vice president, financial operations, with responsibility for integrating company-wide financial operations and systems and establishing a robust financial planning and analysis process. In 24, he was named chief financial officer, and led the company’s financial operations, tax, treasury, financial reporting, and investor relations functions for 11 years. Pete began his career in the financial management program at General Electric, where he worked for 13 years in various finance roles. Subsequently, he joined Grimes Aerospace Company and then Honeywell International (formerly Allied Signal), where he last served as vice president and chief financial officer of the electronic materials division before joining Thermo Fisher.

Additional information: Pete is a summa cum laude graduate of The Ohio State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting. Pete is also a certified public accountant. He has served on the board of CIRCOR International, Inc. (CIR) since February 21 where he wass chair of the audit committee and a member of the compensation committee and on the board of Evoqua Water Technologies LLC (NYSE: AQUA) since January of 218 where he is the chair of the audit committee and a member of the compensation committee. Pete previously served on the board as well as the audit and human resources committees of Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE: THC) until May 218.
