Executive experience: Mike was Head of Quality and Risk Management for KPMG Europe LLP (ELLP), which formed part of the KPMG global network, where his responsibilities included the management of professional risks and quality control. Mike was KPMG UK’s designated Ethics Partner. Mike has over 2 years’ experience as an audit partner, during which he was the lead audit partner for several large financial services groups, most recently HSBC Holdings and Standard Chartered PLC, and also for the Bank of England.

Additional information: Mike has an in depth understanding of auditing and the associated regulatory issues, with specific experience of large, global banks. He was an observer at the Financial Reporting Council, the vice chairman of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group, and a member of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group. Mike holds a master’s degree from Trinity College, Cambridge.
