Executive Experience: Lynn Elsenhans is the former chairman and CEO of Sunoco and Sunoco Logistics. Lynn served Sunoco from August of 2008 until May of 2012. Before joining Sunoco, she had a 28-year career with Royal Dutch Shell. Her executive positions with Shell included executive vice president of global manufacturing, president of Shell Oil Company, and president and CEO Shell Oil Products for both the Asia Pacific Middle East and US regions. While at Shell she had assignments in Houston, Singapore, and London.
Lynn currently is on the boards of GlaxoSmithKline plc. (GSK), Baker Hughes Company, Saudi Aramco and Kiewit Corporation. She is chair of the audit committee at Aramco, corporate responsibility committee at GSK, and the governance and corporate responsibility committee at Baker Hughes. Previously, Lynn served on the boards of International Paper Company and Flowserve Corporation.
Additional information: Currently she sits on the advisory board of the Whiting School of Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
She is a former board member at the Texas Medical Center and is a trustee emeritus at Rice University and a former trustee of the United Way of Greater Houston, the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, and the First Tee of Greater Houston.
Lynn earned her bachelor of arts in mathematical sciences from Rice University in 1978 and her MBA from Harvard University in 1980.
