Executive Experience: Lewis (Lew) Kramer, after an almost 40-year career with Ernst & Young (now EY), retired on July 1, 2009. He held many positions within the firm – from client service to senior technical to senior leadership positions. Lew also led the NY Global Accountants Group. During his career, he was the global client service partner for some of EY’s largest and most important global clients, including Fortune 500 companies Verizon Communications, News Corporation, Time Warner, Xerox, and InterActiveCorp.
Additional information: Lew graduated with a BBA from City College of New York (Baruch College). Lew also completed the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Advanced Management Program (AMP).
From 1994 to the present he has been a member and past president of the board of directors of the United Neighborhood Houses of New York (UNH), a not-for-profit organization that is the umbrella organization for 39 settlement houses that help approximately 7, New Yorkers in need annually. Lew has also served on the Baruch College auditing advisory board and remains active in mentoring students there. He also serves on the board and is Treasurer of Palm Beach Dramaworks, a local not-for-profit drama theater organization.
Lew received the 2009 Michael H. Urbach, CPA Community Builder Award from the New York Council of Not for Profits (NYCON), the 2009 NY State Chapter of the March of Dimes Leo Jaffe Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his nonprofit volunteer efforts, and the 2001 Baruch College Accounting Society Professional of the Year award. Lew and his wife, Judy, reside in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Chappaqua, NY – and have two married children and four grandchildren.
