Jonathan Bloomer

Hiscox and Morgan Stanley International

Jonathan Bloomer is chair of Hiscox and Morgan Stanley International. He is also chair of DWF Law LLP and chair of SDL Group Limited. Jonathan spent seven years at Cerberus Capital, a global private equity firm, where he held the position of European partner and was a senior member of their operations team. Prior to his time at Cerberus Capital, he spent ten years at Prudential plc, where for five years he was the group chief executive officer, and twenty years at Arthur Andersen. His previous positions include chair of Arrow Global Group plc, senior independent director of Hargreaves Lansdown plc, chair of the employee benefit business of Jardine Lloyd Thompson plc, chair of the practitioner panel of the FSA, member of the code committee of the takeover panel, board membership of the Geneva association and chair of trustees of Caterham School.  He was the former treasurer of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children and subsequently made an honorary member of the NSPCC council in 2016. He is a chartered accountant.
