Frederick Isleib III

Frederick Isleib, CFA, is an environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) risk analyst. He provides oversight to the investment teams across fixed income and equity in the implementation of ESG risk analysis by working directly with portfolio managers and analysts. He is also responsible for generating thematic and top-down research related to emerging ESG risks.

Prior to joining Manulife, Frederick was director of research of clean energy markets at Nexant Inc., where he focused on US renewable energy markets as well as the development of distributed energy generation.

Earlier, Frederick spent 17 years at Putnam Investments that included 7 years as a global fundamental equity research analyst following the sectors of financials, technology, and industrials.  He is a graduate of Bentley University with BS in accounting, and he earned a master of business administration from Babson College. 

Frederick also holds the chartered financial analyst designation and is a member of the Boston Security Analyst Society.
