Executive experience: From 1992 to 27, Edgar was chief financial officer of Deutsche Post. During that time, both Deutsche Post and its subsidiary Deutsche Postbank went public. Edgar was also responsible for more than 1 acquisitions during that period. 
Edgar started his business career as a consultant at McKinsey and later became executive director of corporate development at Quelle, a mail-order company in Germany. 

Additional information: Since 211, Edgar has been president of the Financial Reporting Enforcement Panel (FREP). Since 23, Edgar has lectured as an honorary professor at the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar. He studied mathematics and economics at the University of Cologne, from which he obtained a diploma in mathematics. He earned a master’s degree in operation research and a doctorate in business administration at the Technical University in Aachen.
