Darryl Holloman

Darryl B. Holloman serves as Vice President for Student Affairs at Spelman College, a historically Black college for women, located in Atlanta, Georgia.  Previously, he served as Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Georgia State University.  He worked as the Assistant Vice President for Student Life at Columbus State University.  He also worked as the Associate Dean/ Director of the Paul Robeson Campus Center at Rutgers University-Newark Campus.

Dr. Holloman has worked in higher education for over 30 years and has an expansive portfolio which includes experiences in student affairs practice, higher education governance, and faculty life.  Dr. Holloman has served on the faculty at Rutgers University-Newark, University of Arkansas-Little Rock, Columbus State University, Georgia State University and Spelman College.  He has presented at various regional, national, and international conferences.

Dr. Holloman has several articles and book chapters to his credit.  Dr. Holloman’s research examines the ways that educational settings are shaped by individual’s cultural identities, constructs and distinctions. He is the coeditor of the book entitled From Boyhood to Manhood: Deconstructing Black Masculinity through a Life Span Continuum through Peter Lang Press.  He is currently working on a co-edited manuscript entitled: In the Middle: Leading as Mid-level Professionals in Student Affairs.
