Craig P. Omtvedt

Craig P. Omtvedt served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Fortune Brands for twelve years. Fortune Brands was the consumer products company behind leading brands including Moen, Titleist, Master Lock, Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, Sauza, and Courvoisier.  Craig joined the company in 1989 and was elected as chief financial officer in December 1999. During 212 he served as an advisor to Beam Inc., the successor company to Fortune Brands.

Prior to joining Fortune Brands, Craig held financial management positions with Sears Retailing Group, Sears World Trade and Pillsbury/Grand Metropolitan plc. He has significant experience with both business portfolio repositioning and business operations restructuring.

Craig serves on the corporate boards of Conagra Brands and Oshkosh Corporation. Until February 22, Craig was the non-executive chair of the Oshkosh board. He is the former chair of the audit committee of General Cable Corporation. Craig also previously served on the board of Hillshire Brands. He is a member of the Standard & Poor’s CFO Advisory Council and previously served as a member of the Standing Advisory Group of the PCAOB. He is a National Trustee of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and a member of the Economic Club of Chicago. He was voted one of “America’s Best CFOs” in Institutional Investor magazine’s 29 poll of portfolio managers, analysts, and investment professionals.
