Biography
Christina Lockwood

Dr. Lockwood is an Associate Professor at the University of Washington where she serves as Director of the Genetics and Solid Tumor Diagnostics Laboratory, Medical Director of the Brotman Baty Precision Medicine Institute, and Clinical Director of the Northwest Genomics Center. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Chemistry and the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics. After obtaining her PhD at the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Lockwood completed postdoctoral fellowship training in Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Molecular Genetics at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Her expertise centers around the development and application of molecular methods to detect genomic alterations in prenatal genetics, genetic diseases, hematologic malignancies, and solid tumors. Dr. Lockwood has also been active in the design and implementation of educational resources related to training in genomic medicine. She is an investigator for several clinical research studies, including multiple cell-free DNA projects, the Seattle Flu Study, and the NIH AllofUs program.
