Beverly K. Carmichael

Beverly is a recently retired C-Suite executive with 30+ years of experience leading HR and legal functions in various organizations across a diversified industry portfolio. She has been a thought partner and trusted advisor to multiple CEOs regarding strategy, risk, and “all things people.”  A critical thinker and well-rounded business leader, Beverly is a veteran of the boardroom as an executive and a board member.

BOARD LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE

Beverly is a director at Cintas (Nasdaq: CTAS), a Fortune 500 company specializing in helping businesses of all sizes by providing a comprehensive range of products and services, including uniforms, first aid and safety products, fire extinguishers and more where she serves on the Compensation Committee and the Nominating and Governance Committee. She is a director at Viad Corp (NYSE: VVI), a leading provider of experiential leisure travel, live events, and marketing experiences and a member of its Human Resources Committee and its Nominating and Governance Committee. She is also a director at Cotton Patch Cafe, a Texas-based restaurant chain.

Beverly previously served on the Board of Directors at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF), the MBA Advisory Board at the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma, and the Advisory Board for Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at Southern Methodist University.

Beverly served as the top HR executive at publicly traded companies including Southwest Airlines, Ticketmaster, and Cracker Barrel Old Country Store where her influence and leadership created demonstrable value for these organizations.

For more than a decade, Beverly practiced law at Manatt, Phelps, and Phillips LLP and at Southwest Airlines. She is an experienced litigator, employment lawyer, and labor relations executive. She remains an active member of the bar.
