Executive Experience: Anne Arvia has served as CEO & president of AAA Banking and executive vice president of Auto Club Group since September 218. Previously she served as senior vice president, managing director, USAA Bank from August of 215 to December of 217; president, Nationwide Direct Distribution from August 212 to July 215; president of Nationwide Retirement Plans from November 29 to August 212; and chief executive officer of Nationwide Bank, a unit of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, from 26 to November 29.

Prior to joining Nationwide, Anne served as president and chief executive officer of ShoreBank, a community development and environmental bank, from 21 to August 26. She joined ShoreBank in 1991 as assistant controller and was named chief financial officer in 1998.

Anne presently serves on the public company board of GATX Corporation where she is chair of the audit committee. Her previous board experience includes time with the University of Chicago Hospitals and Health System, XacBank in the country of Mongolia, Low Income Investment Fund, Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI), the SPARK Institute, Community Investment Corporation, Community Initiatives Inc., Central Ohio Chapter of the Young Women Christian Association (YWCA), the Illinois Bankers’ Association and Winning Workplaces.

Additional information: Anne holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Michigan State University and is a certified public accountant.
