Alan MacGibbon is chair of the board of directors and chairs the corporate governance committee of TD Bank Group and is a member of the board of directors and chairs the audit committee of the Bank’s US subsidiary, TD Bank US Holding Company. Alan is also chair of the board of CAE Inc., a Canadian based technology company providing training in aerospace and healthcare.
Alan served as managing partner and chief executive of Deloitte LLP (Canada) from 2004 to 2012. Alan also served as a member of the Canadian firm’s board of directors and a member of the executive and the board of directors of Deloitte’s global network, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL). In June 2011, Alan also assumed the role of global managing director, quality, strategy and communications for DTTL. Alan retired from Deloitte January 1, 2014.
Alan has been active in his community and profession and is a past chair of the board of Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga, Ontario.
Alan was recognized as a fellow by the Ontario Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants in 2006 as a doctor of letters by the University of New Brunswick in 2010.
Alan and his spouse Glynis reside in Mississauga, Ontario.
