Alan Bennett

Executive experience: Alan served as the president and chief executive officer of H&R Block from July 21 to May 211. Alan also served as the interim chief executive officer of H&R Block from November 27 to August 28. From September 21 until February 27, Alan served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Aetna, Inc. From 1998 to 21, Alan served as Aetna’s chief accounting officer, responsible for all GAAP and statutory accounting, reporting and analysis for all of the company’s legal entities, related SEC filings, tax planning, claim recovery activities, and accounting policy. From 1997–1998, Alan served as vice president and director of internal audit for Aetna, Inc., where he was responsible for all audit functions of Aetna Inc. including information systems, investigative services, international, health and Aetna retirement services.

Additional information: Alan was awarded a BA in accounting from Susquehanna University, in Selinsgrove, PA in 1972, and currently serves as a member of its board of trustees.
