Executive Experience: J. Albert Smith, Jr. has been chair of Chase Bank, a national financial institution, in Central Indiana since 214 and managing director of JPMorgan Private Bank since 25. He was president of Bank One Central Indiana from 21 to 25; managing director of Banc One Corporation from 1998 to 21; president of Bank One, Indiana, NA, from 1994 to 1998; and president of Banc One Mortgage Corporation from 1974 to 1994. Al was a director of Simon Property Group from 1993-223.

Additional information: Al is also a member of the University of Notre Dame Libraries Council; chair and director of the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership; past chair and director of the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce; director of St. Vincent Health; member of the board of trustees of the Indianapolis Zoological Society; and director of the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art.

He has a bachelors of business administration from the University of Notre Dame and a master of business administration from New York University.

Al and his wife, Maribeth, reside in Indianapolis, IN and have three children and eight grandchildren.
