Aaron Lyss

Director of Strategic Payor Relations

OneOncology

Aaron Lyss is the Director of Strategic Payor Relations for OneOncology, a national partnership of independent community oncology practices that includes more than 23 oncologists and 1 sites of care nation-wide. At OneOncology Aaron leads a wide range of initiatives related to the integration of risk-sharing payment models and quality improvement, which includes CMMI’s Oncology Care Model and similar commercial payer programs.

Prior to this role with OneOncology, Aaron was the Director of Strategy and Business Development for Tennessee Oncology, one of the largest independent oncology practices in the US and a founding OneOncology partner. At Tennessee Oncology Aaron was responsible for the design and implementation of the organization’s strategic priorities in value-based care by developing partnerships and managing ongoing relationships with commercial payers, healthcare IT companies, and other healthcare provider groups. He also led cross-functional teams involved in clinical, operational, financial and IT innovation in value-based care.

Prior to joining Tennessee Oncology, Aaron spent six years as a healthcare policy specialist at the American Association of Blood Banks in Bethesda, MD.

Aaron earned his Master of Business Administration with a specialization in healthcare at the Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Washington University in St. Louis.

Aaron presents frequently to various groups of oncology stakeholders on topics relating to how community oncology practices can align operations, strategic partnerships, and vendor relationships for success in the value-based reimbursement landscape. Beginning in Nov. of 219 he will serve on the board of directors for the Patient Advocate Foundation.
